RESETING YOUR DOMAIN NAME PASSWORD


If you currently have a domain name password with 123cheapdomains.com that is less than 10 characters in length, you will need to have it reset due to new security regulations.

Simply follow the 3 steps below to reset your password.

STEP 1:

If you try to login with a password that is less than 10 characters in length, you'll ge the follow message:

Authentication Error: incorrect login or password. Read below for fix.

Your entered password is less than 10 characters long. Passwords must be at least 10 characters long to work.

Authentication error usually means that you have entered a wrong login or password. If this is a new domain registration account you just created, please wait a moment for the account to activate before you can login. For existing active accounts, you can use the convenient "lost password tool" to get your correct login and pass sent to you now.

Click Here Now to reset your password quickly via email so that you can login to Domain Manager.

If you just submitted a new domain registration, you may not be able to login until your login and pass updates into the system. Please allow up to 24 hours for your account to activate.

[Note: Go ahead and click the message "Click Here Now to reset your password quickly via email so that you can login to Domain Manager."

STEP 2:

You'll now see a screen stating the following:

Success: Password reset email for domain( yourdomainname.com ) was sent to the administrative email: ( you@whatever.com )

Please be patient and allow at least 5 minutes for the email to get to you.

When you get the email, just choose password that is at least 10 characters in length. The system will no longer accept passwords shorter than 10 characters for improved security.

If you currently have a password that is shorter than 10 characters, they will stop working, and must be reset to at least 10 characters long via email.

STEP 3:

The e-mail you will receive will look like the one below; simply follow the instructions provided in the e-mail:

Hello,

A request has been received to have the password for [yourdomainname].com reset.

You are receiving this email because you are the admin contact listed for the domain.

To complete the reset of your password, please visit:

https://manage.opensrs.net?action=reset_password&id=[id will be listed here]&key=[key will be listed here]

Please note: passwords must be at least 10 characters in length to succeed.
