Use toiletries in the lavatory only. Practice proper hygiene. Toiletries include combs, brushes, make-up, lotions, powders, or any other articles for the lavatory.

9. Use reasonable means to solve disputes. Resist the use of fighting and/or profanity to express personal feelings. Make use of the guidance department. Practice conflict resolution.

10. Eating and/or drinking beverages are not permitted in class. Refrain from chewing gum while on school property.

Choosing to follow classroom rules will result in positive consequences that may include: good grades, free time, and inclusion in school-wide activities.

Choosing not to follow classroom rules will result in negative consequences that may include: writing assignments [A4 code of Conduct] for personal reflection, 45 minute after-school office detentions, parental contact, guidance referral, administrative referral, and possible exclusion from school-wide activities.

Remember that you alone are responsible for your actions and that you have a choice. Use good judgment and think before you act. If you find yourself writing these codes of conduct, do not think of it as a punishment. Rather, think of it as a time for self-reflection so that you may become a more responsible young adult.
