The Bureau of Parole Employees Credit Union (BOPECU) was founded on August 4, 1972, and serves the current and former employees and their immediate family members of the New Jersey State Parole Board, Division of Parole and the New Jersey Department of Corrections (Central Office). There are currently approximately 500 active members with the Credit Union and total assets exceed 2.2 million dollars. CUNA Mutual Insurance Company insures the BOPECU and each individual account is insured up to $100,000.00 by the National Credit Union Administration. On an annual basis, the New Jersey Division of Banking audits the BOPECU.

The BOPECU offers members interest bearing savings accounts with a $500.00 minimum balance, with an account being opened for as little as $5.00. We offer Certificates of Deposit as well as automobile and personal loans. Members currently employed by the State of New Jersey can utilize direct deposit, which enables members to have a specific amount of money deducted from their paycheck and deposited directly into their savings account. Deposits can also be made by personal check or money order. Interest rates for savings accounts and Certificates of Deposit are very competitive with other financial institutions. Members can withdraw funds from their savings accounts by merely calling the Credit Union at 609-649- 3507. The check will be mailed the same day to your home. Account statements are issued on a quarterly basis and 1099 forms are mailed to members in January. Members can apply for personal or automobile loans by downloading and mailing the loan application from our website with a copy of your most recent pay stub to the above address. Loan applications are processed within 2-5 days. Interest rates for automobile and personal loans are also very competitive with financial institutions. JOIN TODAY !!
